Taking inspiration from "Tiki Tiki heads" based on the initial brief, I captured the bands mischievous youth and carefree style.
The strong contrast of colours added the impact to make this logo stand out and get noticed.

So… I needed something to keep me focused during lockdown.
I wanted to do something positive and worthwhile, so decided to write a children's story. I'm glad to say that I didn't give up and now have my very own published book aiming for ages 6-12… But adults will enjoy it too, hopefully.

Gates of Rome formed in early march 2011. The band came together to create their own sound and to enhance the Northern Ireland music scene.
Shortly after the band formed they were quickly introduced to the rehearsal-studio environment, quickly adapting, and creating their own fast paced, strongly unique, and highly energetic sound.
What you tell yourself everyday will either lift you up… or tear you down. It's the start of a new week, which means it's time to shake off the weekend, take a deep breath and try to think positively.
In the Spring of 2015 five friends were drawn together by a shared dream;
a dream to create vital, vibrant metal music in a band that would be an outlet for their restless imaginations and pent up rage at the apathy and lethargy that they saw around them.
This is the start of a personal project. I want to create a poster for each letter of the alphabet… but I want to base it on a movie that I have seen. It's going to be a long and hard process, but then again, it wouldn't be fun otherwise.
